DESCRIPTION:RailEI Advanced Track Technician Course\nModule 1 – Introduction to Track Theory\, Practice and Surveying\nDelegates will learn how innovations in survey\, design\, maintenance\, renewal\, and project work can be harnessed to help make safe and efficient plans. Diversity and sustainability issues will be explored\, as will the interdependencies between the various engineering functions and train operations\, so that key management skills including decision making\, prioritisation\, record keeping\, data analysis\, and report writing are developed. DESCRIPTION:RailEI Advanced Switch & Crossing Systems Engineering Course\nModule 2\nProgramme aim\nPoints\, Switches and Crossings (P&C\, S&C) are critical to railway performance\, yet maintenance of these assets often lack complete coordination between the track and signalling teams. The Advanced S&C Systems Engineering course bridges this gap. Equipping engineers with the knowledge and tools to optimise reliability\, reduce failures and improve safety and train performance. \nThe course will contain case studies of how to run effective PLANNED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE regimes for S&C and how to identify and analyse potential failure modes for track and signalling components.
