DESCRIPTION:Alan Cudlipp\, Civil Engineering Manager\, Spa Valley Railway and Director and Principal Consultant\, Apex Rail Consultancy Ltd\nAshford Section hybrid meeting\nSpa Valley Railway is a popular heritage railway in Kent. Broom Lane Bridge\, a Victorian steel rail-over-road structure\, was beyond economic repair and the presentation describes the cost effective replacement from design through fabrication to construction and opening to traffic.
