DESCRIPTION:Andy Vickerstaff\, Head of High Speed Engineering [Track]\, Network Rail\nLondon Section hybrid meeting\nNetwork Rail High Speed (NRHS) are responsible for the operation\, maintenance and renewals of the current only operational high-speed railway in the UK on behalf of our client High Speed 1 (HS1). HS1 runs from London St. Pancras to the Channel Tunnel carrying both domestic and international services at a maximum line speed of 300kmh (180mph).\nAndy Vickerstaff is the Head of High-Speed Engineering [Track] for NRHS and in this presentation will describe some of the differences\, as well as the similarities\, between managing conventional mainline and high-speed Permanent Way.
