Synopsis: Robin Lee, CEng, MIRSE works in product development for Park Signalling Limited in Stockport, UK. He is currently leading the development of the trackside element of Network Rail’s degraded mode working system and was previously involved in developing trackworker warning systems, key token instruments and supporting Network Rail’s radio based limited supervision ETCS project.
The talk will outline the challenges and a number of methods of signalling single track railway lines. There is often little funding available for lightly used rural lines. Park Signalling’s key token instruments (DiBloC)and Radio Electronic Token Block (RETB) systems will be explained. The DiBloC system will be demonstrated in the room.
