Synopsis: Professor Andy Doherty will discuss the GCRE, the facility design and construction, the planned operation and testing strategy, and the research and innovation opportunities available.
Andy is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineers, the PWI, IET and IRSE; and is the Chief Technology Officer of the GCRE. Having worked with Network Rail and London Underground previously, he has a wealth of experience in the railway system and in leading research and development solutions for the management of wheel-rail interface and control of rolling contact fatigue in the UK.
