Water is one of the world’s most precious commodities. The level of interaction between the railway and the water cycle is significant. Not only is the safe performance of all asset groups intrinsically linked to the management of water; consideration also has to be given to rail infrastructure at a system level and its relationship with the wider catchment area.
We all have a responsibility to manage the risks and realise the benefits posed by water.
In this Seminar we will explore water management at both a rail infrastructure and an alternative transport network level. Presentations will be shared on practical solutions to current challenges, albeit too much or too little water.
The Seminar will include opportunities for delegate interaction and participation, offering facilitated discussions and Q&A.
