The Knowledge Hub is a Member-exclusive benefit. To access the resources, you must be signed in to your RailEI online account and have a current RailEI membership. 

If you are a Member, click the person icon in the top-right corner of the RailEI website to sign in. If you have not yet registered for online access, please see the FAQ: I’ve never logged into the Member Portal before. What should I do?  

If you are not currently a Member, we would be delighted to welcome you to the RailEI community. As an open and inclusive Institution, we welcome anyone with an interest in railway engineering. By becoming a Member, you’ll gain access to the Knowledge Hub along with a wide range of other benefits. You can find out more about membership and join RailEI here

You should use the email address associated with your RailEI membership. In most cases, this will be the email address you used when you first joined RailEI. 

If you are unsure which email address is linked to your membership, please contact membership@railei.org before creating your online account. This will help ensure your account is correctly linked to your membership record and that you can access Member-exclusive resources. 

On the login page, select the password reset option and follow the instructions to create a new password.

In some cases, you may need to perform a hard refresh by pressing Ctrl + Shift + R to ensure the page loads the latest version.

If you are not currently a Member, you will need to join RailEI to access Member-exclusive Knowledge Hub content. You can find out more about membership and join RailEI here.

If you believe you should have access, but the resource remains unavailable, please contact membership@railei.org for assistance. 

This usually means the email address used for your online account is not linked to your membership record. Please contact membership@railei.org and we will help link your account correctly.

  1. Click Log In on the portal on the top right-hand side of the screen. 
  2. Sign in using your email address and password. 
  3. Return to the Knowledge Hub and refresh the page or access the Knowledge Hub directly through the Member Portal. 

You will then be able to view Member-exclusive resources. 

Click Sign Up Now on the login page and create your online account. 

If you are a RailEI Member, it’s important you use the email address associated with your membership. This allows the system to link your online account to your membership record granting you access to Member-exclusive content. If you’re unsure which email to use, please contact membership@railei.org before creating your account. 

We’ve created a step-by-step login guide and short walkthrough video to help. 

If you are not currently a Member, you can still create an online account, however in order to access Knowledge Hub resources, you will need to become a Member of RailEI. You can find out more about membership and join RailEI here. 

Having a RailEI online account does not necessarily mean you have a current RailEI membership. For example, you may have created an account to book an event, or you may be a former Member whose membership has since lapsed. 

Access to Member-exclusive Knowledge Hub resources is available to current RailEI Members. If your membership has lapsed, you may simply need to renew it to regain access.

No. In most cases, your login session will remain active for a period of time, meaning you should not need to sign in every time you visit.

Most Knowledge Hub content is available exclusively to RailEI Members. However, a small number of preview resources are available on our technical discipline pages, allowing anyone to explore the type of content available within the Knowledge Hub.
