Overview
Established in the UK since 1958, and as part of the Goldschmidt-Thermit Group, Thermit Welding (GB) Ltd are known throughout the Rail industry, especially, to those involved in the maintenance and well running of the Permanent Way, for their rail welding products; producing moulds, portions and equipment for the majority of rail profiles in use today on the UK’s rail networks.

Innovative thinking
It is the constant drive of innovative thinking that has resulted in the development of Thermit’s service products, such as Rail Grinding, which employs grinding vehicles that can access track in under two minutes and work on track gauges from 1000mm to 1685mm; TRACKSAFEMONITOR for remote monitoring of track that may be prone to subsistence, TRACKBOND, which enables the track engineer to stabilise ballast for a variety of tasks.
Thermit has more apps, (look for Thermit Lookup on your App store or Google play), products and services to enter the industry, and provide the track engineer with the tools to complete the work to budget and deadline.
