Overview

Dartmouth Steam Railway steam trains travel seven miles along the spectacular South Devon coast into the Dart Valley, an area of outstanding beauty, onto the beautiful village of Kingswear (opposite the pretty Port of Dartmouth). Here, you will find Dartmouth River Boats operating on the stunning River Dart, offering scheduled services to the town of Totnes and daily Harbour Cruises from Dartmouth. There are also sea-going trips from Torquay and Brixham to Dartmouth.

Dartmouth Steam Railway

This unique network

This unique network combines steam railway, river and sea adventures for days out in Devon along with our own bus fleet to complete the services offered. For example, the famous Round Robin is an award-winning full day out, a steam train journey, ferry, river cruise and bus ride. We are also operators of the last remaining coal fired paddle steamer in the UK, “Kingswear Castle” now operating on her home waters of the River Dart.
