We heard that feedback from members confirmed that this is such an important part of what PWI membership brings. We discussed the forthcoming training and seminar programme and were pleased to see the level of support these are securing.

Sharing, educating and supporting career development is central to what we seek to do, and the Board offered congratulations Brian and his team. The support we are providing for the Network Rail Graduate scheme was welcomed, as was its support for our developing Overhead Line Electrification modules. Expanding our support for this discipline is particularly important to the Board.

The continued growth in professional registrations with the PWI was welcomed with thanks to team for managing such a growing workload. The recent scrutiny by the Engineering Council confirmed the professionalism with which everything is handled.

The progress made by Joan Heery as our new Membership Director was great news, but as ever, we remain keen to grow and retain members to underpin the importance which the rail industry clearly attaches to the work of the PWI.
