A long time coming, I had put off applying for IEng for many years based on the myth that it would be too onerous whilst trying to hold unaccredited engineer status in a growing pool of accredited engineers.
From the first interaction with the PWI the process and expectations were clearly explained, allowing me to compile reflections on past experiences. The whole process put me at ease, knowing that the guidance from members of the PWI, from the Registration Team to time-served experienced engineers, was only a phone call away.
I feel proud to be a professionally registered part of this institution, where I can help and mentor others as others have to me. Becoming Incorporated has given me the drive to reach Chartered in the near future, further adding to the recognition of trust, reliability, responsibility, knowledge and experience that comes with the Incorporated Engineer status.
I look forward to developing others as recognised engineer and enhancing my career development opportunities.
