PWI S&C Refurbishment Course Testimonial

I have very much enjoyed the S&C Refurbishment Course at the PWI.

As an engineer with no railway background, I only started my adventure with the railway industry around four years ago as a planning manager for the track discipline. During this time, I graduated with the PWI Track Engineering Diploma. I gained my second degree, which helped me achieve one of my goals and get promoted to the Track Asset Engineer role.

The course provided me with practical knowledge about the different types of Switches and Crossings across the network (perspective we fondly refer to as ‘on the other side of the fence’ outside Network Rail High Speed 1).

I recommend the course for everyone interested in the Track Asset, especially in the S&C, and if you would like to spend a week with an experienced group of the PWI professionals.
