London Section hybrid meeting
Network Rail High Speed (NRHS) are responsible for the operation, maintenance and renewals of the current only operational high-speed railway in the UK on behalf of our client High Speed 1 (HS1). HS1 runs from London St. Pancras to the Channel Tunnel carrying both domestic and international services at a maximum line speed of 300kmh (180mph).
Andy Vickerstaff is the Head of High-Speed Engineering [Track] for NRHS and in this presentation will describe some of the differences, as well as the similarities, between managing conventional mainline and high-speed Permanent Way. The future for NRHS and HS1 will be described as Control Period 4 commences in April 2025 following the recent funding settlement with the Office of Road and Rail.
