Adapting the Western Route’s railway infrastructure to our changing climate
September 3 @ 13:00 - 14:00

Julie Gregory, Regional Head of Resilience and Sustainable Growth, Network Rail
West of England Section hybrid meeting
An update on work to increase the resilience of Western Route to our changing climate. With extreme weather events happening more often, and unprecedented extremes being experienced, the challenge is great. However a fairly modest investment can lead to significant improvements if a whole system approach is taken. This talk will highlight resilience improvement works at Chipping Sodbury and Dauntsey and the benefits seen, and look at what more is needed as we move forward into Great British Railways.
Meeting in person from 12:45 for light refreshments courtesy of RailEI for a 13:00 start for all.
