The Sustainable Rail Strategy (SRS) is industry-first plan for sustainability across the rail sector. Led by the RSSB Sustainable Development Team, the SRS is being developed through a process of co-creation with industry stakeholders, covering environmental topics such as carbon, air quality and circular economy, and social sustainability topics such as social value and community integration.
The SRS is a core workstream of the Whole Industry Strategic Plan (WISP). This work will form the comprehensive Environmental Plan called for within the Williams-Shapps Plan for Rail.
