Synopsis: This project is aimed to provide the GB rail industry with: A greater understanding of the impact of railhead and wheel contamination on different types of track reliability; and the effects on risk and train service performance. An improved insight into the management of track circuits. An improved understanding of the impact of operational planning and mitigations on reducing Wrong Side Track Circuit Failures (WSTCFs)
