Thames Valley Section hybrid meeting
Synopsis: Matthew will outline the history of the marshalling yard at Washwood Heath in Birmingham from its inception in 1877 to its re-purposing as a Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot for HS2, presently in its early stages of construction. The presentation will describe the changes over the years and the HS2 designs of the track, Maintenance Building, Network Integrated Control Centre and Stabling Sidings together with the interfaces with signalling, OCS, roads and landscaping.
Meeting in-person from 17:00 for refreshments courtesy of the PWI for a 17:45 start for all.
