Abigail recently completed the RailEI Track Engineering Diploma (TED), achieving the Best In Class award whilst balancing the programme alongside her role as Assistant Engineer at Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail. “I found the RailEI Track Engineering Diploma to be informative, engaging and very enjoyable. What I particularly appreciated was the variety of experienced professionals involved in delivering the modules. Each lecturer brought their own knowledge, background and practical experience, which made the course more interesting and helped relate the technical content to real railway situations.

The structure of the Diploma worked very well for me. As it was split into three separate modules, it was easier to manage alongside my work commitments. Each module focused on a different aspect of Track Engineering, which made the learning process clear, well organised and easier to follow.

The course has given me a stronger understanding of track engineering principles and has helped me build confidence in applying this knowledge in my day-to-day role. I believe what I have learnt will be very valuable as I continue to develop professionally and progress in my career as a railway engineer.
