Steve Mugglestone, UK Project Manager, Railvac, Railcare Sweden
Nottingham & Derby Section in person meeting
Railcare’s Railvac is a high-volume vacuum excavator machine developed for the railway maintenance market. It is designed to address areas that standard excavators cannot reach, and it enhances safety by reducing manual work.
Some key features and uses of the Railvac include:
- Ballast Replacement – The Railvac handles ballast replacement in rail switches and crossings, through tunnels, bridges, and platforms.
- Cable Location and Handling – It is also used for cable location and handling, drain pipes, newly constructed, or for maintenance and relocation purposes.
- Efficiency and Safety – The Railvac can work almost anywhere an excavator is required, with increased safety and efficiency along with high productivity and minimum disruption to rail traffic.
- Quick Setup – One of the biggest advantages of the Railvac is the very quick setup at site, allowing it to operate efficiently in short possessions.
Steve Mugglestone is an experienced Railway Project Manager at Railcare. He is responsible for the Railvac, its performance, productivity, and future workload.
