Synopsis: Railways are facing increasing challenge to remain resilient in the face of a rapidly changing climate, an uncertain political landscape and unprecedented changes to its demands. This paper will cover these challenges in more detail and attempt to answer the question; are we doing enough now to ensure that future generations will have a railway fit for these challenges?
