MoniRail’s solution introduces a real-time, systemic approach that bridges the gap between track and vehicle monitoring. Unlike traditional methods that focus on either track condition or rolling stock performance independently, this work integrates the two, offering a holistic view of how both systems interact. The use of advanced signal processing provides higher accuracy and repeatability in diagnosing faults, leading to more efficient maintenance strategies. The methodology also promotes cross-departmental collaboration between track and vehicle teams, driving a more effective approach to resolving rough ride issues and enhanced maintenance planning.
