This session will tell the story about the development of processes for maintenance and works delivery in Network Rail taking these from broad discipline agnostic concepts to processes with controls, mitigations, responsibilities, assurance and performance measures. It will explain how those processes have been translated into standards in the Maintenance and Works Delivery manual with requirements and guidance on implementing the processes. Finally, it will consider developing a set of associated competences and assurance arrangements for maintenance and works delivery managers and those accountable for the processes and implementing the standards.
