Visit to Old Oak Common HS2 construction site

West of England Section technical visit

In conjunction with the HS2 Stations Team, the West of England PWI Section is pleased to offer Members a site visit to the Old Oak Common HS2 construction site.
The visit is scheduled for Wednesday, 25 September between 10:00 and 14:00 and will include a presentation on the Old Oak Common project and a site walkthrough.

BBVS JV Site Office, Old Oak Common Rail Depot, London, NW10 6ED; all visitors are encouraged to use public transport to get to us. It is a 15-minute walk from both East Acton Station and Willesden Junction Station.

Unfortunately, only ten spaces are available, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Depending upon demand, further visits may be possible.

Usual Railway PPE is required, including:
Safety Helmet (to EN 397)
High Visibility vest/jacket
Long Trousers
Safety Boots (to EN 20345 type S3)
Gloves (to EN 388/ EN 374)
Light Eye Protection (to EN 166)
Hearing Protection (to EN 352) – Use where advised

It may be possible to loan some PPE; please advise on return.

If you have any mobility, sight or hearing problems or are taking any medication, please advise on return to ensure you are fully catered for.
